Compensation and Benefits

Our packages are designed to be competitive within the pharmaceutical industry.

Employees are compensated for their contributions to the company through base pay and an annual performance based bonus programs. Directors and above are also eligible for our Long Term Incentive Program. To compliment compensation, DSPA offers employees a diverse and flexible offering of benefits to help our employees and their families meet the everyday demands of balancing their professional and personal lives.

Health and Wellness
  • Medical, Prescription Drug, Vision and Dental: Employees and their families are eligible for our flexible comprehensive programs offered through United Healthcare on their first day of employment
  • Health Care Flexible Spending Account: Employees can set aside up to $3,000 on pretax basis to help cover the cost of eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses
  • Disability Leave: Provides up to 8 weeks of paid time off for a serious health condition
  • Comprehensive Physical Examination: Employees can take one paid day off each year for comprehensive physical examination

Financial Well Being
  • 401(K) Savings Plan: Employees can contribute to their retirement savings on pre-taxed basis starting on the first business day of the month following start of their employment. The company will match 100% up to 5% of employee contribution and employees are 100% vested from the date of enrollment
  • Basic Term Life Insurance: Company paid benefit which provides coverage at 2 times annual base salary up to a maximum of $500,000. Coverage begins on first day of employment. Supplemental insurance is available
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance: Company paid benefit which provides coverage at 2 times annual base salary up to a maximum of $500,000. Coverage begins on first day of employment
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance: Employee is eligible for company paid income protection benefit at 66% of base salary with a cap of $1,000/week for STD and $8,000/month for LTD on their first day of employment.
Work/Life Balance
  • Vacation Days: 2 to 4 weeks paid vacation, based on employment classification and length of service
  • Holiday Schedule: 13 paid company holidays, consisting of a combination of fixed and 2 floating holidays
  • Personal Days: 3 paid days per calendar year to accommodate employees personal needs
  • Family Illness: Up to 3 paid days off to care for an immediate family member due to a serious illness or injury
  • Bereavement Leave: Up to 5 paid days off in the event of the death of an immediate family member
  • Parental Leave: Up to 5 paid days off for the birth or adoption of a child
  • Flextime: Option for flexible work schedule to help with work/life balance
  • Summer Hours: Employees can work a compressed work week Memorial Day through Labor Day
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account: Employees can set aside up to $5,000 on a pretax basis to help cover the cost of eligible out-of-pocket child care expenses
Training and Rewards Programs
  • Tuition Reimbursement Assistance Program: Provides financial support with an annual maximum benefit of $10,000 per year towards an advanced degree or professional certificate program with manager approval
  • Employee Referral Program: Employees are encouraged to help us recruit top talent by offering a cash bonus incentive award
  • DSP Prism Award Program: Employees are recognized by their managers and colleagues for outstanding performance with a point-based cash bonus award
